John Heid serves as vice president of Mail Service and Long-Term Care. He oversees the financial, operational and service responsibilities of all mail service pharmacies. He also is president of SeniorMed, A Walgreens Company, which provides a complete medication management program to senior living communities.

Heid joined Walgreens in 1994 and has served as vice president of Mail Service Pharmacy, director of Mail Service Operations and general manager of the mail service pharmacy in Tempe. Before joining Walgreens, he held manufacturing and distribution positions for companies including Iodent/Life Labs, Americal Pharmaceuticals, Medco and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Heid has a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass., and a master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif. He also is a certified pharmacy technician.
