Ron Weinert serves as vice president, Administration and Integration and chief of staff. In this role he leads a number of initiatives across the division and across the Company. He oversees project management efforts for the division and leads our strategic goal and integration efforts.

Weinert has been with Walgreen Co. since 1987, beginning as a pharmacist and moving up in the organization as a pharmacy supervisor and as manager, Pharmacy Operations for Loss Prevention and director, E-Commerce. He then moved to Walgreens Health Services where he served as vice president, Patient Services. In 2007 Weinert transitioned to the position of director, Government Relations for Walgreen Co. and served in that role until his recent promotion to his current position.

He received a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy in 1983. Weinert received a Certificate from the Wharton School and the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics of the University of Pennsylvania for the Executive Management Program for Pharmacy Leaders.

Weinert serves on the Illinois College of Pharmacy Deans Advisory Board of Directors and is the Chair of the Building and Grounds Committee. Previously he was vice president and board member of the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy Alumni Association. He is a member of the Convenient Care Association Policy Council and the Florida Pharmacy Council.
