Alex Jung serves as senior vice president, Strategic Solutions. In that role she is responsible for the development and implementation of long term business strategy and product solutions to the marketplace.

Alex has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Walgreens, she was the practice leader for Aon's Health & Benefits consulting practice in the Central and West regions focusing on Fortune 500 clients. Her other career achievements include leadership positions with consulting firms Arthur Andersen where she led healthcare benefits and Mercer Benefits Consulting where she served as manager, National Health Care Analysis. Jung also served as managing director, Benefits for the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits for the United Methodist Church.

Jung received a bachelor of science degree in business management from Northeastern Illinois University. She is a member of the board of directors of the Respiratory Health Association of Chicago. Jung serves as chair for the Total Rewards Interest Group for the Human Resource Management Association of Chicago and chair of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Health and Wellness Committee.
