SeniorMed’s hospice pharmacy provides medications, infusion therapy and consultative services to offer support and convenience to hospice care providers. We have served hospice patients since 2002, and have developed a strong understanding of the unique needs of hospice caregivers and their patients.
At SeniorMed, we understand the complexities and urgencies of hospice care. We recognize that each patient’s condition is unique and can change daily or even hourly. Our pharmacists in Aurora, Colo., are experts in pain management and provide recommendations to doctors and caregivers on the most effective drug therapy.

In addition to supplying medications, our comprehensive medication management program includes a complete medication review and profiling of your patients, so we can find the best solutions to meet their individual needs.
SeniorMed also offers the following products:
- Customizable comfort kits including cardiac and seizure kits
- Patient-controlled analgesia pumps for the administration of intravenous pain medication
- Preloaded and premeasured syringes
- Specially compounded medications such as creams, suspensions and suppositories to meet your patients’ changing needs
- Flavoring options for liquid medications
- Unit-dose packaging for most oral dosage forms
- Unit-dose packaging for specialized medication and containment units
Delivery options
SeniorMed offers an array of delivery options to help ensure the timely arrival of your patients’ medications. We can deliver medications to hospice facilities or patients’ homes that are located within a 50-mile radius of our pharmacy in Aurora, Colo. Options include deliveries in two or four hours, or next day via local courier services.
In addition to local deliveries, we use national courier services that can deliver medications to locations more than 50 miles from our pharmacy or to another state, if needed.
A responsive and dedicated team
Our staff has a strong understanding of hospice medication issues and will provide personalized service every step of the way. Our consultant pharmacists make regular visits to hospice facilities and are only a phone call away if you have concerns or questions. They are available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Educational programs
SeniorMed also is there to educate your staff. Our pharmacists offer educational programs on a variety of topics including pain management, updates on new medications and the availability and benefits of generic medications.
