What is the cost to house a Walgreens on-site pharmacy?

There is no cost. In fact, we pay fair market value to:

• Lease pharmacy space
• Hire and train staff
• Purchase all inventory

How is this Walgreens different from the one in my neighborhood?

The Walgreens at your facility will have a full-service pharmacy and offer some over-the-counter items, depending on the space allocated.

Will you incorporate the look and feel of the hospital into your pharmacy?

Yes, our on-site pharmacy will be incorporated seamlessly into your facility. We can even customize the look and feel of the space to match the interior design of your building. We can incorporate a "welcoming" pharmacy space that includes:

• A soothing color palette
• A separate room for patient consultation and injection training
• Privacy dividers to promote noise control and protect patient confidentiality
• Wood tones on fixtures and cabinets

What kind of support will Walgreens provide to the on-site pharmacy?

Each Walgreens resides in a local district supported by a district manager, pharmacy supervisor and your account manager. We also have floating pharmacists to provide 24/7 coverage.

I work in hospital administration. Can we choose which services we would need?

Our services are based on the needs of your facility. During the development process, we will discuss what services and products will best meet your patient needs.

Can my hospital staff request medications from the on-site pharmacy?

Yes. Your staff can also request some limited-distribution drugs.

Will hospital patients be required to purchase their medication only from Walgreens?

No. Your patients still have a choice as to where they get the prescriptions filled.

Do you offer charity programs for our indigent patients?

Yes. We can also provide vouchers for use at the pharmacy.
