Take Care Clinics

Take Care Clinics at select Walgreens offer a new, simpler approach to quality everyday healthcare built around the patient. No appointments are necessary and clinics are open seven days a week, including weeknights, making access to healthcare easier than ever before. By collaborating with Take Care Health Systems, your members can receive treatment for common illnesses, select vaccinations, physicals, patient education and preventive care services to help them lead healthier lives.

Licensed, caring professionals

Take Care Clinic professionals are board-certified family nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are licensed to write prescriptions when necessary. They are trained to actively listen to patient needs, consider their medical history and take the time for a thorough examination so that the diagnosis and recommendations are appropriate for an individual patient and simple to understand.

Take Care Clinics adhere to nationally recognized clinical guidelines and industry standards set forth by the Convenient Care Association (CCA). They additionally have a detailed quality assurance program including collaborating physician review to ensure quality care.

Medical consultation

In addition to working with patients to assist in their common and immediate medical needs, the team also works to:

  • Refer patients to their primary care physician (PCP) or specialists for follow-up care if conditions fall outside the clinic's scope of practice
  • Encourage patients to obtain a PCP for their regular care and will offer a list of providers in the area accepting new patients
