Know what to do if you miss a dose

For each anti-cancer medication you begin taking, ask your doctor or pharmacist what you should do if you miss a dose of your medication.

Do not assume you should skip a dose or double your dosage to “catch up.” Your missed-dose directions may vary, depending on the circumstances.

You should also know when to alert your doctor about missed doses. You might need to notify your doctor if you miss a dose of some medications.
