Common questions about Walgreens HIV pharmacy services
Would my pharmacist check my prescription history for any potential medication interactions?
Absolutely. We have the unique ability to access your entire prescription history with us, so our pharmacists can review the
information right there and then, and counsel you on any potential medication interactions. Please remember to tell your pharmacist
about any medications you get from other pharmacies, medication samples from your doctor that you are using or any supplements and
herbal medicines you may be taking.
Can my pharmacist help me stay on track with my complex therapy and provide me with tips to remain adherent?
Your pharmacist can arrange your medication refill through our automatic refill service. You can do this either through the
Walgreens in your neighborhood or by calling 800-573-3602. This way, you can rest assure that you will receive your medication
exactly as prescribed to avoid any interruption with your therapy.
If I am traveling, can I get my prescription anywhere in the United States?
For the most part, you should be able to get your prescription anywhere in the United States and Puerto Rico. However, your
prescription coverage may be different in every state, depending on your coverage. Please ask our pharmacists. We will be glad to
check for you.
