This preferred medication list (also referred to as a formulary or preferred drug list) is a list
of medications preferred by your plan. Most plans use the Walgreens Health Initiatives
PML as part of their benefit design. Show this PML to your physician whenever you
obtain a prescription. You can use it to learn about medication alternatives,
such as generics, that may reduce your cost(s). This PML list
does not imply drug coverage. Please check your prescription benefit
information provided by your employer/insurance carrier for details about
your drug coverages/exclusions
and costs.
The PML may be updated throughout the year, generally quarterly,
so please check back to view changes.
The specially selected medications on this
guide can help you and your prescriber maximize your plan benefits
and minimize prescription medication costs. This list is available
alphabetically or by medication category on our web site (www.mywhi.com); see below. All the
medications listed have received FDA approval as safe and effective.
A committee of physicians and pharmacists has chosen the medications
included on this list.
